Made in La Crosse?

Did you know award winning snowshoes are made right here in La Crosse? I had no idea! Welcome to Redfeather Snowshoes, locally made and one of only a few companies with snowshoes completely handcrafted in the USA.

Leaders in innovation and technology, they were the first to produce snowshoes specifically built for women, and they also make snowshoes just for kids. Redfeather’s products are built to last, using only highest quality materials. Enjoy the great outdoors on day trips or backcountry adventures.

Adding to this already cool story, is that Red Feather Snowshoes are manufactured and owned by ORC Industries, a not-for-profit company whose sole organizational mission is to provide job opportunities for people with disabilities. One of those opportunities is to make the best snowshoes in the world!  A minimum of 75% of their workforce is comprised of people who have a physical or mental disability. They train individuals, provide vocational and nutritional counseling, wellness training, and life skills all with the goal of placing these folks in the general workforce at large.

Just another reason to LOVE where we live. Learn more about ORC Industries Industries and get into the great outdoors with a pair of locally made snowshoes. Find Red Feather Snowshoes online and at these local retailers: Island Outdoors, River Trail Cycles, Northland Golf and Ski, Adventure Cycle and Ski and Decorah Bicycles. Go exploring!
