La Crosse Mayoral Candidates Smackdown!

Have you ever wondered why we get so worked up over national politics, but lack the same passion for local elections? When you consider the impact local elections leverage on our daily lives, perhaps we should think of them as the Main Event!

With that in mind, it’s no secret that Mayor Tim Kabat is not seeking reelection, but what do you know about the ten candidates vying for his position? That’s right, ten candidates are ready to rumble! Who are they, what do they stand for, and are they’re equipped to handle city management? If you struggle to answer those questions, it’s crunch time. The primary election is Tuesday, February 16th and you’ve just added candidate-cramming to your to-do list. Lucky for you, Mid-West Family La Crosse’s news station offers excellent resources for the upcoming election.

Besides candidate pages, WIZMNews.com held a series of debates, giving you an opportunity to hear from the candidates directly.

Local elections have real consequences. We’re tagging you in on this match. Be an informed citizen and make your voice heard on Tuesday, February 16th.
