Food for the soul

Mobile Meals of La Crosse, Inc. was established in the fall of 1971 and operates with the mission to serve seniors, disabled, or home-bound individuals healthy nutritious meals. They are a local non-profit organization, delivering over 33,000 meals a year to individuals in La Crosse. Well-balanced meals are delivered by volunteer drivers, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays.

As you can imagine, volunteers are crucial in sustaining Mobile Meals. Of course, these deliveries provide healthy meals to area residents, but they do so much more! These daily visits, by volunteers dropping off meals, are something they count on and really look forward to. These deliveries also provide some peace of mind for families and friends, being assured their loved one is being checked on daily.

Food for the body is not enough, there must be food for the soul.” – Dorothy Day
